When I joined as a product designer, the product was already on the market. My role focused on improving user experience by enhancing key features. I streamlined billing, redesigned zone navigation for clarity, added a bypass function for flexibility, and introduced notifications for important updates. These improvements reduced frustration, increased convenience, and kept users informed, ensuring a smoother overall experience.

Goals

My goal was to manage and update the application to meet user needs. I focused on enhancing usability, improving key features, and ensuring a seamless experience through design improvements and functional updates.

A key challenge was to quickly react to users' needs, making timely updates and improvements to the application. It required addressing pain points, refining features, and adapting the design based on user feedback to ensure a seamless experience.

The security screen serves as the main interface for managing home or office security. While it has been developed to meet current user and company needs, the old functions are still in place, ensuring continuity. The updated version improves navigation, visuals, and functionality, making it easier to monitor and control security systems, while maintaining the core features users are familiar with, offering a seamless transition and enhanced experience.

The idea was to engage users more effectively by renewing the design of the security system. By improving the zone detectors and enhancing their functionality, the goal was to make the interface more intuitive and visually appealing. These updates aimed to create a more engaging user experience while keeping the core elements like detector icons intact.

Many users found the eyes design on the security screen to be unappealing and "terrible." To address this, I focused on redesigning this element, aiming for a more user-friendly and visually pleasing approach. The updated design was intended to improve the overall aesthetics and create a more engaging and comfortable experience for users while maintaining functionality.

I redesigned the water and smoke detector icons, replacing them with intuitive water and fire icons. These new icons feature animations to visually indicate active alerts or status changes, enhancing user engagement and clarity. The animated icons make it easier for users to quickly identify potential threats and respond promptly.

conclusion

The application is continuously updated to meet evolving user needs and improve functionality. It requires constant attention to ensure that features remain relevant, intuitive, and responsive to user feedback. Ongoing updates are essential for maintaining a seamless experience, addressing any issues promptly, and adapting to changes in technology and user expectations. This dedication to improvement ensures the application consistently delivers value and meets both user and company needs.
